Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding- Hatton Church & Village Hall

“Vicky was fantastic on the day and photographed every single detail and captured our day perfectly, she put me and my husband at ease, even when I was near tears (I got stung by a bee during our photos!)…We’d highly recommend Vicky and her work to anyone.”

Laura & Nathan’s Warwickshire wedding was to take place at the picturesque Holy Trinity Church in Hatton  & Hatton Village Hall.  Both of which are literally on our doorstep.

Stuart & I have known Laura’s family for many years & had the privilege of photographing & filming Laura’s sisters wedding a few years ago. We were very excited & honoured to be asked to photograph & film Laura & Nathan’s up coming wedding.

Laura, like her sister Alissa, are both incredibly creative so we knew that Hatton village Hall would be beautifully decorated through-out & with the addition of alcoholic/cocktail flavoured ice-cream we couldn’t go far wrong :-)!

Laura spent the morning calmly getting ready at her family home, with the rest of her bridal party & family. I love being able to capture the preparation & all of the beautiful details at the beginning of a wedding, I’m definitely like a magpie – attracted to all the pretty sparkly things :-). We left Laura & her girls to finish getting ready & headed off to meet Nathan & his Groom’s men at Holt Trinity Church. I truly feel it’s important to photograph both the bridal prep & the groom & grooms men as this is the only part of the wedding that the bride & groom each miss out on during their special day, as they are not together at this point. As anyone who has got married will tell you, time seems to speed up 3 fold & the day passes in what seems to be a blink of an eye. I want to make the very most of capturing all those important memory for you so that you will be able to enjoy looking back on in months & years to come.

After a fabulous service, which included a beautiful acoustic guitar solo, played & sang by Laura’s Brother we made our way outside to photograph the family & group shots, requested by Laura & Nathan.  We bid fair well to the guests, who all made their way to the Village hall (to tuck into the extremely delicious ice cream!) while we whisked Laura & Nathan off to an idillic, little known hidden garden in Warwick. We were able to spend a little time wandering around the grounds, taking some beautiful pictures of the couple. A number of the images I  captured of Laura & Nathan are some of my favourites to date :-).  They were such an relaxed couple to work with & even after Laura had been attacked & stung viciously by the largest bee I have ever seen (I kid you not!) she still managed to smile & carried on.

A wonderful meal & incredibly funny speeches followed (at one point I thought Laura may die of embarrassment during her dad’s speech :-D) . The evening entertainment took us through the remainder of the night, with the band making sure there wasn’t a still foot in the house, with the dance floor crowded from the first moment they struck a chord .

As the evening drew to an end of a most fantastic day (apart from the bee) Mr & Mrs Walsh were given a tremendous sparkly – sparkler send off.

Congratulations to Laura & Nathan, both Stuart & I wish you both the best for your married life together.
